College of Administration and Economics

Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jameel, the college organized a specialized training course entitled:

“The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Detecting and Combating Cyber Extortion: Between Challenges and Solutions”.

This course came as part of the programs and plans of the Women’s Affairs Unit in the college, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit of the college and the Women’s Affairs Unit of the Presidency of the University of Mosul. It was held on Wednesday and Thursday, September 24–25, 2025, in Laboratory Hall No. (3).

The course aimed to shed light on one of the pressing issues in the modern digital society, addressing the following key themes:

1. Basic concepts of cyber extortion and artificial intelligence.

2. Mechanisms for detecting cyber extortion using artificial intelligence.

3. Challenges in employing artificial intelligence to combat extortion.

4. Technical and strategic solutions based on artificial intelligence.
