Conclusion of a Specialized Training Course on Environmental and Energy Management Systems at the College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul

Under the supervision of Prof. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jameel, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul, and as part of the college’s continuous efforts to enhance the competencies of its staff in the fields of modern management and institutional performance improvement, the specialized training course organized by the Department of Industrial Management within the programs of the Continuing Education Unit was concluded on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.

The course was titled:
“Energy Management System Standard (ISO 50001) and Environmental Management System Standard (ISO 14001)”.

It began on Sunday, October 26, 2025, and continued for four consecutive days, with one training hour daily from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., held in Laboratory No. (3) of the Department of Industrial Management at the college.

The course aimed to develop participants’ capabilities in applying modern management systems and to clarify the requirements of international standards related to energy and environmental management, thereby contributing to achieving sustainable operational efficiency and supporting the university’s orientation toward environmental sustainability.

The course witnessed active participation from a number of the college’s staff members, who expressed their appreciation for the program and emphasized its importance in supporting quality standards and promoting the principles of sustainable management within higher education institutions.

At the conclusion of the course, the Department of Industrial Management extended its appreciation to the Continuing Education Unit for its efforts in supervision, follow-up, and organization, acknowledging its effective role in developing the academic and administrative skills of the college’s staff.
