Higher Diploma Thesis at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, Explores the Role of Intellectual Capital in Enhancing Institutional Performance Quality

The Department of Industrial Management at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 discussion session in Discussion Hall No. (2) for the higher diploma thesis titled: “The Role of Intellectual Capital in Enhancing Performance Quality.”

The study, submitted by the student Ahmed Hazem Ahmed Al-Ta’i, aims to diagnose the level of availability of intellectual capital components in the General Company for Agricultural Supplies / Nineveh Branch, measure its performance quality, and identify the nature of the relationship between intellectual capital and performance quality. It also analyzes the impact of intellectual capital on improving institutional performance, ultimately providing practical recommendations to enhance the company’s competitiveness through effective investment in its knowledge capital.

The study concluded that the company possesses a high level of intellectual capital across its three dimensions, with human capital ranking highest, followed by structural capital and relational capital. It also revealed varying levels of performance quality across its five dimensions—strong performance in operational efficiency and service quality, contrasted by challenges related to customer satisfaction and financial performance.

The discussion was attended by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Salem Khalil Khalid, and the Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Abdulrahman Zuhair Abdulqader.

The discussion committee was chaired by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Hani Mohammed, with the membership of Asst. Prof. Dr. Manal Abduljabbar Jassim, Lecturer Dr. Islam Yousif Sheet, and Prof. Dr. Ali Abdulsattar Al-Hafez, who also served as the thesis supervisor.
