Discussion of a Higher Diploma Thesis in the Department of Economics at the College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul on Measuring and Evaluating the Performance Efficiency of the National Company for Tourism Investments
The Department of Economics at the College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul discussed the Higher Diploma thesis titled “Measuring and Evaluating the Performance Efficiency of the National Company for Tourism Investments / Mixed Contribution / Baghdad for the Period (2018–2023)” on Thursday, November 27, 2025, in Discussion Hall No. (2).
The study, submitted by Younis Subhan Younis from the Department of Economics, aims to identify the importance of the National Company for Tourism and Real Estate Investments and its role in improving the economic and tourism landscape, in addition to evaluating the level of its success in carrying out its tourism and investment activities during the study period.
The research reached several conclusions, the most notable of which is that the financial returns from long-term investments did not achieve an adequate yield, which weakens the company’s ability to self-finance its activities.
The discussion committee was chaired by Asst. Prof. Dr. Omar Hisham Sabah – College of Administration and Economics / University of Mosul, with the membership of Lecturer Dr. Fatima Ibrahim Khalaf – College of Administration and Economics / University of Mosul, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Nizar Sadiq Elias – College of Administration and Economics / University of Mosul – as a member and supervisor.
