Department of Management Information Systems at the College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul Organizes a Scientific Seminar on Sustainable Development
Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jameel, the College of Administration and Economics / Department of Management Information Systems, in cooperation with the Nineveh Environment Directorate, organized a scientific seminar entitled “Sustainable Development.”
The seminar was held on Thursday, 18 December 2025, in Hall (1) at the Deanship of the College of Administration and Economics.
The seminar was delivered by Dr. Abdulmunem Dhirar Abdullah Al-Jubouri, Assistant Director of the Nineveh Environment Directorate, who addressed the concept of sustainable development and its environmental, economic, and social dimensions. He highlighted the importance of enhancing environmental awareness and the role of academic institutions in supporting sustainability efforts and achieving a balance between development requirements and environmental protection.
The seminar was attended by a number of faculty members, staff, and students, and witnessed active scientific interaction and fruitful discussions that contributed to the exchange of ideas and the promotion of environmental culture, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals and in service of the community.
This seminar comes as part of a series of scientific activities organized by the College, affirming its academic and societal role in raising environmental awareness and strengthening partnerships with relevant institutions.
