The Student Activities Unit at the College of Administration and Economics Organizes an Artistic Course in Macramé for Beginners

The Student Activities Unit (Artistic Division) at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, organized its artistic course entitled “Macramé Art for Beginners”, held from 4 to 8 January 2025, with the participation of a group of the college’s students and staff.
The course, delivered by Ms. Iman Mahmoud, included training participants in the basics of macramé art, which is based on hand-tying and knotting threads to create artistic pieces with a distinctive aesthetic character that combines simplicity and creativity, contributing to the development of artistic taste and manual skills.
The course aims to enable participants to acquire artistic skills applicable in practice, while highlighting the potential of transforming this art into a profitable productive project based on sustainable handmade products. This opens new horizons for self-employment and promotes a culture of small, economically viable projects.
This course comes as part of a series of artistic activities organized by the Student Activities Unit in support of student talents and in enhancement of the university’s role in developing creative skills and linking them to employment and production opportunities.
