The Department of Industrial Management at the College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul witnessed, on Thursday, January 15, 2026, the discussion of a Higher Diploma thesis entitled: “Measuring Readiness for the Transition to Sustainable Quality.”
The discussion was held in Discussion Hall No. (2).
The thesis, presented by the student Yahya Qasim Yahya Al-Abbasi, focused on assessing readiness for the transition to sustainable quality by measuring the gaps between the current operational reality and the requirements for shifting to an integrated quality system that takes into account the economic, environmental, and social dimensions.
The study reached several conclusions, most notably that the researched company adopts awareness-raising activities that contribute to strengthening a culture of social responsibility and sustainability among citizens, in addition to its participation in implementing community responsibility programs related to reducing environmental impact.
