The Department of Business Administration – College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul Witnesses the Defense of a PhD Dissertation on Organizational Health and Organizational Anomie

The University of Mosul – College of Administration and Economics – Department of Business Administration witnessed, on Thursday morning 22 January 2026, the defense of a PhD dissertation entitled: “The Role of Organizational Health in Reducing Organizational Anomie: The Moderating Role of Cultural Intelligence – An Analytical Study of the Opinions of a Sample of Employees at Asiacell Telecommunications Company / Northern Region”
Submitted by the student Zubaida Mahmoud Sharif, the defense was held in Discussion Hall No. (1).
The dissertation aimed to analyze the impact of organizational health, with its various dimensions, on reducing manifestations of organizational anomie within work organizations, while testing the moderating role of cultural intelligence in the relationship between the two variables. The study was conducted in a work environment characterized by cultural diversity and ethnic and linguistic plurality. Asiacell Telecommunications Company – Northern Region was selected as the field of study.
The study adopted the descriptive-analytical approach and was based on a questionnaire distributed to a stratified random sample of (287) employees from a total research population of (1864) employees. Data were analyzed using SPSS and AMOS software.
The dissertation reached several significant findings, most notably the existence of a statistically significant inverse relationship between organizational health and organizational anomie, in addition to the positive moderating role of cultural intelligence in strengthening the effect of organizational health in reducing value-based and behavioral disorders within organizations.
