A master’s thesis in the Department of Banking and Financial Sciences discusses “Measuring credit shock and its reflection on financial soundness: A study in a sample of Iraqi private banks
The Department of Banking and Financial Sciences at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed on Tuesday, 15 November, 2022 the master’s thesis entitled “Measuring the credit shock and its reflection on financial soundness: a study in a sample of Iraqi private banks”.
The study presented by the student “Muayad Abdul Wahid Najm Hassan” aims to determine the nature of the impact of the credit shock and its reflection on the financial soundness of Iraqi private banks, through the time slowdown model, which is one of the modern and important models to determine the exposure of banks to credit shocks, whether positive or negative as an independent variable, and to measure the financial soundness indicators represented (capital adequacy index, asset quality index, revenue and profitability index, liquidity index) as a dependent variable.The discussion committee was headed by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Thaer Ahmed Saadoun Al-Samman, and the membership of both Assistant Professor Dr. Amir Ali Khalil from the University of Karbala and Assistant Professor Dr. Laila Abdul Karim Al-Hashemi, under the supervision and membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Zahraa Ahmed Al-Nuaimi.
