The Department of Banking and Financial Sciences at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed on Wednesday 16 November 2022, the master’s thesis entitled “Information asymmetry and its impact on the cost of capital – a study in a sample of Arab securities markets”.

Part of the discussion was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Thaer Ahmed Saadoun Al-SammanThe study presented by the student “Wedad Suleiman Khalifa Faraj” aims to test and analyze the impact of information asymmetry on the cost of capital in the research sample, starting from a research problem, which is “Do the markets of the research sample disclose their information accurately and in a timely manner?” and “What is the nature and size of the impact of information asymmetry on the cost of capital for companies listed in those markets?The discussion committee was headed by Prof. Dr. Shatha Abdul Hussein Jabr from the Administrative Technical College / Baghdad, and the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Hala Sami Khudair and Assistant Professor Dr. Nawzad Rajab Zubair from the University of Duhok, under the supervision and membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Doaa Noman Al-Husseini.
