The Department of Management Information Systems at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed the master’s thesis tagged “Adopting Knowledge Management-Oriented Blockchain Technology in Health Organizations: A Survey Study in Mosul Governmental Hospitals”

The current study presented by the student “Abdul Karim Hamed Dabisan” aims to identify the most prominent factors affecting the behavioral intention of doctors to adopt blockchain technology directed by knowledge management in Mosul government hospitals, as a conceptual model was proposed that includes three main variables, represented by the dimensions of the unified theory of acceptance and use of extended technology (UTAUT2), as well as the characteristics of blockchain technology and knowledge management processes. A set of conclusions were reached, the most important of which are: the need to strengthen the technical infrastructure of these hospitals, improve internal social communication networks, increase technical support from senior management, as well as develop more programs and systems based on knowledge management to improve the reality of medical services provided in Mosul government hospitals.
The discussion committee was headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Hatem Ali Abdullah from the University of Tikrit, and the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Mustafa Hussein, and Assistant Professor Dr. Hoda Abdul Rahim Hussein, under the supervision and membership of Prof. Dr. Amer Abdul Razzaq Abdul Mohsen.
