The Department of Economics at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed the research of the higher diploma tagged “Economic feasibility study for the Bisan residential complex project”.

The current study… Which was submitted by the student “Reem Louaid Hamid” in the Department of Economics to: Housing is one of the distinctive sectors in the national economy of any country, especially in Iraq, as it contributes to the development of the field of construction and employment of labor and contributes to the elimination of unemployment and the achievement of growth for the country, and that taking care of the housing sector is one of the features of life, and increasing population growth in Nineveh Governorate, especially recently.

The study reached the most important conclusions: the project did not achieve financial feasibility, as it achieves losses, the simple rate of return (annual profit rate) is less than the interest rate and the payback period is very high, and it has a net value current return is negative and the same applies to the net present value of return/cost and discounted annual return, and the present value of return/costs is less than one, and the internal rate of return is lower than the interest rate.

The discussion committee was headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Iman Mustafa Rashad, and the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Waheed Hassan, and the membership and supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Mustafa Fadel Hammadi.
