The University of Mosul hosts a workshop on the application of sustainable marketing standards in small projects…

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Qusai Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Thaeir Ahmed Saadoon Al-Samman, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, and the follow-up of Assistant Professor Dr. Munther Khader Yaqoub Al-Muhtadi, Head of the Marketing Management Department, the Department of Marketing Management at the College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul held a workshop tagged: “The possibility of applying sustainable marketing standards in small projects”.

The workshop was held on Sunday, 17-11-2024, in Discussion Hall No. (1) at the Deanship of the College, at half past nine in the morning, in the presence of a number of prominent figures, including the Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and the Director General of the Central Bank – Mosul Branch, Dr. Hussein Lazim Al-Zaidi, in addition to members of the College Council, a number of faculty members, researchers, college students, and employees of government departments and the private sector.

Workshop Objectives:

1. Introducing attendees to sustainable marketing: Highlighting the concept of sustainable marketing and its standards, and how to achieve a balance between economic, social and environmental goals.
2. Supporting small projects: Providing small business owners with the necessary tools and strategies to apply sustainable marketing standards to improve their performance and ensure their continuity.
3. Promoting sustainable development: Focusing on the importance of integrating sustainability concepts into marketing activities to contribute to achieving sustainable development goals.
4. Raising marketing efficiency: Improving the skills and capabilities of participants, especially university students and entrepreneurs, in designing and implementing sustainable marketing plans.
5. Building partnerships and cooperation: Strengthening cooperation between the university and private sector institutions and government departments to support and develop small projects.
6. Social responsibility awareness: Encourage small businesses to adopt social and ethical responsibility practices.
7. Discuss examples and successful experiences: Provide real-life examples of the application of sustainable marketing standards in small projects to enrich the discussion and provide practical insights.

8. Supporting the local economy: Promoting sustainability in small projects in a way that contributes to achieving comprehensive community development.

The workshop concluded with important recommendations related to promoting awareness of sustainable marketing as a means to achieve sustainable development, as well as encouraging small enterprises to adopt socially and economically responsible practices. The attendees expressed their appreciation for the efforts exerted in organizing the workshop, stressing the importance of continuing these initiatives that contribute to the development of the community and the local economy.
