The Department of Economics at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed the master’s thesis tagged “Measuring and analyzing the repercussions of the exchange rate on the trade balance of a sample of Arab countries for the period (2000-2022).

Part of it was attended by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs.

In the economics section to: Identify the study and analysis of the impact of exchange rate behavior on the trade balance of Iraq and a sample of selected Arab countries from the perspective of econometrics.

The study concluded to the most important conclusions: that the devaluation of the currency in the long term can improve the trade balance by increasing exports and reducing imports, so the research hypotheses state that the long-term devaluation of the Iraqi dinar will lead to an increase in exports.

The discussion committee was headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Rabah Jamil Al-Khatib, and the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Muslim Qasim Hassan / Koya University, and Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Waheed Hassan, under the supervision and membership of Prof. Dr. Saad Mahmoud Al-Kawaz.
