“A Specialized Training Course in English for Administrative Communication at the College of Administration and Economics”

Under the direction of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Muhammad Jamil, the college organized a specialized training course entitled “English for Administrative and Professional Communication in Higher Education Institutions.” The course was held in Laboratory No. 1 of the College Deanship Building from April 20 to 21, 2025.
The course was supervised by the College’s Continuing Education Unit, which focused on enhancing administrative communication skills in English. The course covered key topics, including:
1. Writing official emails in English.
2. Techniques for preparing administrative memos and brief reports.
3. Common vocabulary and expressions in the university work environment.
4. Telephone and direct conversation skills in professional contexts.
5. English terms used in administrative and academic work.

The lectures were led by Assistant Lecturer Nidal Karim Muhammad Al-Taie and Assistant Lecturer Ruwa Zuhair Hamoudi, who provided diverse content that enhanced participants’ ability to communicate effectively in English in an academic work environment.
At the conclusion of the course, participants expressed their gratitude for the outstanding content and high-level organization, emphasizing the importance of continuing such courses, which contribute to developing professional competencies and raising the level of academic performance.
