The Department of Accounting at the College of Administration and Economics Holds a Workshop on E-Government and Its Role in Reducing Corruption

The Department of Accounting at the College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul held a workshop entitled:
“E-Government and Its Role in Reducing Financial and Administrative Corruption,”
on the morning of Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in Hall No. (2) at the college.
The session was chaired by Professor Dr. Ziyad Hashim Yahya Al-Saqqa, with contributions from Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Mal Allah Abdullah, Assistant Professor Dr. Kubra Mohammed Taher, and Lecturer Dr. Hassan Saleh Youssef.
The workshop aimed to highlight the role of e-government in minimizing the risks of financial and administrative corruption by utilizing modern digital tools, promoting transparency and oversight, and reducing human intervention in administrative and financial procedures.
The workshop also addressed key features of e-government and the types of financial and administrative corruption that can be mitigated through smart applications and modern digital systems.
The workshop was attended by a number of the college’s faculty members and individuals interested in accounting and administrative affairs. It included scholarly contributions and discussions that enriched the session’s topics and emphasized the importance of digital transformation in supporting institutional integrity.
