The College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul Strengthens Its International Presence Within the “Study in Iraq” Program

On Sunday, June 1, 2025, and as part of the “Study in Iraq” initiative launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to attract Arab and international students, Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jameel, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul, welcomed a group of students admitted to the college under this distinguished program. The purpose of the meeting was to follow up on their academic progress and listen closely to their feedback and needs.

The meeting included the following students:

Rami Ahmed Abdulghani Al-Muqtri – Doctoral student / PhD Program – Department of Economics – from the Republic of Yemen.

Marwan Khalid Omar Mohammed – Undergraduate student / First year – Department of Marketing Management – from the Republic of Yemen.

Adnan Anmar Adnan Khaddour – Undergraduate student / First year – Department of Financial and Banking Sciences – from the Syrian Arab Republic.

The discussion covered several important topics, during which the Dean listened to the students’ experiences studying in the city of Mosul and at the University of Mosul. He also learned about the main challenges they have faced, whether related to the academic environment or logistical aspects, and worked on providing immediate solutions. He affirmed the college’s commitment to continuously supporting and following up on their academic journey.

To strengthen trust and support, the Dean personally shared his phone number with the students to ensure a direct communication channel, a gesture that was met with great appreciation and gratitude from the students, who praised its humane and practical nature.

Dr. Sinan also stated that the College of Administration and Economics aims to expand its international student admission plans to reach over 200 students in undergraduate programs, in addition to accepting a number of graduate students across various specializations and programs. This comes as part of the college’s strategy to enhance academic diversity and promote global scientific openness.

It was emphasized that the college remains committed to providing full support to incoming students by offering appropriate housing, academic guidance, financial and moral support—reflecting the prestige of the University of Mosul and strengthening its position as a trusted academic destination at the regional and Arab levels.
