The Council of the College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul Outlines Academic Development in Its Twenty-Fourth Session

The Council of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul held its twenty-fourth regular session on Thursday, July 17, 2025, under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jameel, Dean of the College, and with the presence of the heads of academic departments and all council members.
The session included discussions on several vital topics reflecting the college’s commitment to enhancing its academic and strategic performance. The council addressed the college’s needs regarding postgraduate programs at the levels of higher diploma, master’s, and doctorate degrees, in a way that meets labor market requirements and keeps pace with rapid scientific developments. The council also discussed updates related to the evaluative examination, in addition to the recommendations issued by the Committee of Deans of the Colleges of Administration and Economics in Iraqi universities, which serve as a national reference for promoting academic performance quality.
The session further covered academic and administrative matters related to the postgraduate studies file, including evaluation and future planning, alongside a review of the college’s strategic plan as a guiding framework to realize its vision within a sustainable and high-quality academic environment.
These efforts come as part of the college’s ongoing commitment to promoting principles of university governance and enhancing institutional performance, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals—particularly Goal 4, which focuses on quality education.
