The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul Continues Its Developmental Approach and Holds Its Ninth Session to Discuss Academic and Administrative Agendas

As part of its ongoing commitment to enhancing academic and administrative performance and strengthening direct communication with scientific departments, the College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul held its ninth regular session for the 2025–2026 academic year at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, November 10, 2025, at the College Dean’s Office. The session was chaired by Professor Dr. Sinan Zuheir Mohammed Jameel, Dean of the College, in the presence of the assistant deans, heads of scientific departments, and a number of heads of divisions and related units.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Dean emphasized the importance of continuous follow-up on the performance of the scientific departments and the integration of administrative and academic work, in line with the college’s mission of quality and excellence.

The agenda of the council included a discussion of several key topics, the most notable of which were:

Presentation of general directives and administrative and academic discussions issued by the University Council.

Postgraduate Studies: Discussion of master’s thesis and doctoral dissertation titles, emphasizing the need for them to reflect modernity and innovation, and to be aligned with the needs and current requirements of the labor market.

Academic and Teaching Affairs: Monitoring adherence to academic and educational regulations to ensure a smooth and high-quality educational process.

Student Affairs: Discussion of postgraduate students’ excessive absences and taking the necessary legal actions, including the termination of academic enrollment when required, to maintain academic discipline.

At the end of the session, the minutes of the scientific departments were reviewed and discussed in detail, in line with the college’s approach to reinforcing the principles of transparency and the integration of academic and administrative performance, thereby contributing to the university’s goals of sustainable development and institutional excellence.
