The Center for Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Research at the University of Mosul participated in the Global Entrepreneurship Week (Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week), organized by the University of Mosul under the slogan “Ideas Take Off from the Land of the Two Rivers”, held from February 8 to 12, 2026, at the University’s Grand Theater, under the patronage of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Waheed Al-Ibrahimi.

  The event aims to instill a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation among students and to showcase their creative skills and abilities across various fields. During the opening ceremony, the University President emphasized the University’s commitment to being a supportive platform for student creativity and innovation, and to encouraging every idea that contributes to building a future based on excellence and knowledge.

  The Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Research participated in the event with its team of researchers and staff, headed by Professor Dr. Mohammed Mustafa Al-Taweel, Director of the Center, as part of the Center’s efforts to support scientific and innovative activities and strengthen the link between research and development needs to serve the community. This participation contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in the areas of food security, sustainable management of natural resources, combating climate change, and promoting innovation in the agricultural sector to achieve sustainable community development.
