Professor Dr. Mohammed Subhi Mustafa Al-Tawil, Director of AFCAR center, met on Thursday, April 23, 2026, with the researchers and staff to follow up the activities for sustainability week, which will be held at the University of Mosul early next week. During the meeting, he discussed the center’s internal organizational aspects, as well as the preparations for participation in the Sustainable Development Week events.

   The meeting included a review of the center’s plan to deliver scientific presentations on Arid and conservation agriculture techniques, thereby enhancing the center’s role in supporting sustainable agricultural development and addressing water scarcity challenges.

This meeting aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including Goal 2 (Zero Hunger), Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), Goal 13 (Climate Action), and Goal 15 (Life on Land).
