The Fields Bloom with Success: Harvest of the Bean Crop in one of the Fields that cooperated with the Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Research (C.AFCAR).

One of the fields of C.AFCAR witnessed the start of the fava bean harvest for the current agricultural season, amid positive indicators reflecting the success of the research programs and modern techniques adopted in crop management and productivity improvement.

The harvest took place on Sunday, May 24, 2026, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Maan Mohammed Salih and Assistant Lecturer Ammar Habib Mahmood (researchers at the Center). They confirmed that the fava bean crop achieved good results in terms of yield quantity and grain quality, particularly the blocks under conservation agriculture methods, new irrigation techniques, as well as the selection of varieties suitable for local climatic conditions.

This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including: Goal 2 (Zero Hunger), Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), Goal 13 (Climate Action), and Goal 15 (Life on Land).
