AFCAR Center Keeps Pace with Academic Capacity Development by Participating in the Soft Skills Symposium.

  Agri. Eng. Rasha Hamed Awwad (Women’s Affairs Liaison Officer at the AFCAR Center) participated in the scientific symposium titled “Soft Skills in Academic Life,” alongside Women’s Affairs liaison members from various formations of the University of Mosul. The event was held on Monday, June 15, 2026, at the Scientific and Literary Forum at the University of Mosul.

  The symposium lectures were delivered by Dr. Nada Al-Abidi, Director of the Media and Government Communication Department and Director of the Women’s Affairs Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The symposium addressed the importance of soft skills in academic life and their role in developing personal and professional capacities, enhancing communication, teamwork, and leadership skills, thereby contributing to raising the efficiency of academic and job performance. The symposium witnessed positive interaction from participants through discussions and interventions that enriched its themes and contributed to achieving its scientific and awareness-raising objectives.

  This practice aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including: Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 5 (Gender Equality), Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), Goal 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
