Maintenance of Conservation Agriculture Seed Drills.

As part of ongoing efforts to support and develop conservation agriculture practices and enhance the efficiency of agricultural machinery used in related programs, a specialized team from the Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Research (C.AFCAR) conducted a field visit to Al-Hamidat Subdistrict on Sunday, 18 October 2026, in cooperation with the Directorate of Agriculture (DoA) in Nineveh. The visit aimed to carry out maintenance work on seed drills used in the conservation agriculture program.

The visit included the necessary maintenance of the seed drills to ensure their technical readiness, operational efficiency, and sustained performance. These measures are intended to ensure the continued effective use of the equipment in agricultural operations and achieve the best possible results in the implementation of conservation agriculture practices.

This visit forms part of the Center’s efforts to strengthen cooperation and coordination with the Nineveh Agriculture Directorate, provide the necessary technical support to farmers, and improve the equipment and resources required for implementing conservation agriculture. These efforts contribute to more efficient use of agricultural resources, soil conservation, and sustainable agricultural production.

Through these field activities, the Center reaffirms its commitment to monitoring agricultural machinery and providing the technical support required to maintain its efficient operation, thereby contributing to the success of the conservation agriculture program and expanding its application across Nineveh Governorate.

This visit aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, including: Goal 2 (Zero Hunger), Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), Goal 13 (Climate Action), and Goal 15 (Life on Land).
