Distinguished photos of the field experiments at the Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Research (C.AFCAR) at the University of Mosul.

The photos of distinguished experiments and fields affiliated with the AFCAR Center, taken on Monday, April 27, 2026, embody a living model of scientific progress in Arid and Conservation agriculture system. These pictures reflect the research efforts dedicated to developing sustainable agricultural methods based on modern techniques in natural resource management.

The photos of experimental fields show the diversity of crops cultivated under conservation agriculture systems, which aim to reduce tillage, preserve soil moisture, and improve soil fertility. They also highlight the successful use of improved drought-tolerant varieties, thereby enhancing productivity in various environments.

These visual models are not merely documentation but also an awareness message reflecting the importance of scientific research in achieving food security and sustainable development, especially in regions suffering from limited water resources.

The subject of these photos aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including:

          Goal 2 (Zero Hunger)

Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation)

Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure)

          Goal 13 (Climate Action)

          Goal 15 (Life on Land)
