College of Archaeology

On Wednesday April 23/ 2022 and In cooperation with college of education for girls, college of archaeology hold a workshop entitled “woman is the empowerment in society: among past, present and future”. The event was held in the hall of the college and it comes within the activities of women empowerment’s unit at University of Mosul. The workshop included the following topics:
1: a paper entitled “the role of queens in Mesopotamia” delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Yasamin A. Mohammed Ali/ dean of college of archaeology
2: a paper entitled “the names of women In Mesopotamia” delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Suaad A. Mohammed Saeed/ head of archaeology department.
3: a paper entitled “nursing in historical ages” delivered by Prof. Dr. Salwa H. Muktar/ dean of college of Nursing.
4: Women in labor market delivered by Prof. Dr. Ibtihaj Z. Suliman/ head of chemistry department/ college of education for girls.
5: the results of women sport decrease in light of women empowerment in Iraqi society delivered by Dr Zainab M. Thanoon/ lecturer at department of physical education and sport science in college of education for girls.
During the workshop, prof. Dr. Ahlam S. Altalibi was granted the honorary shield of the college in appreciation for her efforts and her scientific career at the college before her retirement.
At the end of the workshop, certificate of appreciation were delivered to the ladies/ deans of the colleges as well as the presenters of this workshop
