(Architectural projects in the administrative messages of the kings of the Sargonian dynasty in light of cuneiform sources) Discussion of a master’s thesisThe master’s thesis for the student Rami Ahmed Younis Al-Sabawi from Department of Archeology was discussed on Sunday morning, 19/6/2022. The title of the thesis was (Architectural projects in the administrative messages of the kings of the Sargonian dynasty in light of cuneiform sources).The study dealt with a summary of the political life of Assyria in the era of the Sargon dynasty (721-612 BC) and the building materials used in those projects, as well as the professionals and craftsmen who carried out the implementation of those projects and the most prominent obstacles facing the Assyrian administrative apparatus regarding harnessing for these people to work on projects. The most important thing in this study is the nature of the architectural projects, including the construction of fences, palaces, temples, houses, and others.The aim of the thesis is to shed light on the nature of the construction projects undertaken by the kings of the Sargonian dynasty, which indicates the economic development during the Assyrian kingdom at that time and was, of course, reflected in what was monitored and spent from the treasury of the Assyrian kingdom on the establishment of those construction projects.The discussion committee consisted of:Prof. Dr. Jaber Khalil Ibrahim, University of Mosul / College of Archeology / Department of Archeology as HeadAsst.
