(Heritage buildings in the city of Tal Afar, a field study of selected samples) Discussion of a master’s thesis.

The college of Archeology discussed the master’s thesis of researcher Raad Saud Ahmed Al-Sabih Al-Juhaishi entitled(Heritage buildings in the city of Tal Afar, a field study of selected samples) on Wednesday morning, 9/21/2022 in Abi Tammam Hall The thesis dealt with the buildings of Tal Afar, which is considered the first field documentary study of the buildings of Tal Afar and took selected samples and included mosques, residential houses, Khan service buildings and barrages. A chapter was devoted to the study of the general features and characteristics of buildings and their architectural elements. The aim of this study is to document heritage buildings that have not been studied previously, and all these buildings are subject to demise and dilapidated to fall due to neglect and lack of maintenance.
