PhD thesis ((Study of some economic aspects of the city of Iri-sag-rig7ki) in llight of published and unpublished cuneiform texts from the era of Ur III))
On Wednesday morning, 9/28/2022, the PhD thesis of student Mahmoud Hamid Ahmed was discussed in the Department of Iraqi Ancient Languages the thesis was entitled “Study of some economic aspects of the city of Iri-Sagrik (Iri-sag-rig7ki) in the light of published and unpublished cuneiform texts from the era of Ur The third)) the viva was held at Abi Tammam hall in the College of Education for Human Sciences.The thesis included five chapters preceded by a preface dealing with the naming of the city of Erie-Sakrik, its history and location, while the first chapter dealt with agricultural land, agricultural work, machinery and tools used in it. The second chapter came to talk about the types of workers and the system of pensions. The third chapter is devoted to talking about irrigation and agricultural crops and their types. The fourth chapter came to talk about livestock. As for the fifth chapter, we talked about the food industries, and the textile and leather industries.The thesis concluded with a set of conclusions reached by the study, followed by the appendices, which included a table of the contents of the unpublished cuneiform texts according to the sequence of their study, and tables of areas, measures, scales and lengths.
