Workshop entitled (Earthquakes and seismic waves in Surat Al-Waqi’ah)
On Tuesday, April 18, 2023, The College of Archeology/ University of Mosul held a workshop entitled (Earthquakes and Seismic Waves in Surat Al-Waqi’ah) in the hall of Dr. Behnam Abu Al-Souf.
The workshop was attended by the Dean of the College of Archaeology Asst. Prof. Dr. Yasmine Abdul Karim Muhammad Ali. It was delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Salem Ahmed Khader Fanoush, a lecturer at the College of Petroleum and Mining Engineering. The workshop Shed light on the seismic waves in the linguistic semantics of Surat Al-Waqi’ah where the vesuses of it as follows:
In the name of God, the most gracious, the most merciful
If an event takes place (1) its occurrence is not false (2) descending and raising (3) if the earth is agitated (4) and the mountains are only clothed (5) It was in vain (6). Great truth of God
The occurrence of the two words (lowering and lifting) in the nominal form, which indicates the stability of the event, is consistent with the characteristics of the primary waves P.
The presence of the word (rejoiced) in the actual form, which indicates the renewal and instability of the event, is consistent with the characteristics of the S secondary waves.
The occurrence of the word (earth) with the verbal form (the earth was shaken up) and its absence with the nominal form (lowering and raising), indicating that Raj is associated with the (solid) earth exclusively, and its absence with the nominal form (lowering and raising), indicating the universality of its occurrence in all media, and not be confined to a specific material medium.
The absence of a conjunction between the two words (lowering and raising), and the indications it contains of the simultaneous reduction and raising at the same time, as it is known in grammar that the conjunction letter (and) is useful for laxity in time and for not commenting. Therefore, we note that the names of God (his attributes) mentioned in the Holy Book of God, are not connected to each other (without a conjunction) to indicate the coincidence of all His attributes, glory be to Him, at the same time.
