A scientific field visit of the College of Archaeology, Department of Ancient Iraqi Languages to the sites of the archaeological city of Nimrud
Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Archeology Assistant Professor Dr. Yasmine Abdel Karim Muhammad Ali and the participation of a number of the college’s staff and students.
The Department of Ancient Iraqi Languages at the College of Archaeology/ University of Mosul organized a scientific field visit to the site of the archaeological city of Nimrud which is located south of the city of Mosul on Thursday, December 14, 2023. The purpose of the field visit is to inform undergraduate and post-graduate students about the conservation, restoration, and revival operations carried out by the Nineveh Department of Antiquities and Heritage of the ancient city after the severe damage to its antiquities at the hands of terrorist gangs in 2015.
