A workshop entitled (Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution)
The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Archeology, University of Mosul, in cooperation with the Women’s Empowerment Unit, held a workshop entitled (Peace Building and Conflict Resolution). The workshop was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Hashem Abdel-Razzaq Saleh, Asst. Professor at the College of Arts, Department of History, and human development trainer. The woekshop was held on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, in Dr. Behnam’s hall. Abu Al-Souf at the College of Archeology. The workshop was attended by Assistant Dean of the College of Archeology for Administrative Affairs, Assistant Lecturer Khalis Abdel Karim Farman, and a number of professors, employees and students of the College of Archeology and members of the Women’s Empowerment Unit at the University Presidency. The session was moderated by Mrs. Soha Muhammad Tayeb, head of the Women’s Empowerment Unit, and assistant lecturer Abeer Ahmed Jassim, member of the Women’s Empowerment Liaison at the College of Archaeology.
It shed light on the causes of conflicts and ways to resolve them, as well as the concept of peace and its impact on society, as well as addressing the topic of effective communication, diversity and its impact on peacebuilding and conflict resolution.
The lecture covered the following topics:
– Conflict and peace
– Conflict triangle
– Listening and effective communication
– Effective communication skills
