A large part of this archive represented what was exchanged between the rulers of the cities of the Kingdom Mary and King Zimri-Lim from letters with different contents.
In the first chapter, the study tackled the location, name and social composition of the city of Mari and its political situation before King Zimri-Lim ascended to the throne of the Kingdom of Mari and under his rule, and the relationship of the kingdom with neighboring kingdoms as well as the details of the cities of the Kingdom of Mari and its rulers. The second chapter included the diplomatic and intelligence aspects, recruitment and military campaigns and the siege policy; while the third chapter included religious and social matters and economic messages.
