College of Archaeology

On Wednesday, February 28, 2024, the director of the Antiquities and Heritage Authority Professor Ali Obaid Shalgham, accompanied by Mr. Rawid Muwaffaq Muhammad, Inspector of Antiquities and Heritage of Nineveh Governorate both visited college of archaeology. Both were received by Professor Dr. Yasmine Abdel Karim Muhammad Ali, Dean of the college of Archaeology, and Assistant Professor Dr. Yasser Jaber Khalil, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs. During the meeting, scientific relations between the General Authority for Antiquities and Heritage and the College of Archeology at the University of Mosul were strengthened by contributing to archaeological excavations and future activities and supporting the Museum of the College of Archaeology with archaeological objects and finds that had previously been uncovered in the sites and hills in which the University of Mosul worked. The director of the Antiquities and Heritage Authority, the College of Archeology Museum, which is scheduled to be opened in the near future.
