A workshop at the College of Archeology entitled “Phases of Development of the Hebrew Language”

The College of Archaeology/Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Unit held the workshop entitled “Phases of Development of the Hebrew Language” on Sunday, 3/31/2024, in the hall of Dr. Behnam Abu Al-Soph. Part of the workshop was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Yasser Jaber Khalil, Assistant Dean of the College for Scientific Affairs, and a number of College staff and postgraduate students.
The researcher (Mr. M. Tariq Hazem Taha), a member staff in the Department of Ancient Iraqi Languages, reviewed the history of the Hebrew language as it is one of the island languages that is taught in the Department of Ancient Iraqi Languages at the College of Archeology. The researcher discussed the names that were given to that language until it settled on Naming the “Hebrew language.” The researcher also discussed the history of the language, starting from its early stages, and the periods of weakness and prosperity it went through during the Arab-Islamic civilization until modern times.
