Participation of the College of Archeology/ University of Mosul in the International Conference on Assyrians in Finland

The College of Archeology/University of Mosul participated in the sixty-ninth International Conference on Assyrians which was held under the slogan (Politics, Peoples, and Politics in the Middle East) at the University of Helsinki/Finland on July 8-12, 2024.
The Dean of the College of Archeology, Professor Dr. Yasmine Abdel Karim Muhammad Ali, presented her research titled:
“College of Archeology U. Mosul and the challenges after the liberation of the city from ISIS terrorist groups”
In her paper, Professor Dr. Yasmine Abdel Karim Muhammad Ali discussed the efforts made by the College of Archeology/ University of Mosul in the field of archaeology in documenting and preserving buildings and artifacts in the city of Mosul.
In addition, Professor Dr. Nawala Ahmed Al-Metwally also presented her research paper entitled:
“The City-center of Umma in the Ur III and Early Old Babylonian Periods”
“The center of Medina Amma in the eras of Ur III and the Old Babylonian era”
In her paper, Professor Dr. Nawala Al-Metwally discussed the work of excavations and the most important archaeological discoveries in the center of the city of Ama during the era of Ur III and the ancient Babylonian era
