College of Archaeology

The College of Archaeology, headed by Professor Dr. Yasmine Abdul Karim Muhammad Ali, Dean of the College and member of the Ministerial Committee, hosted a meeting of the members of the Ministerial Committee that was formed by assignment from the Prime Minister’s Office and the instructions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research/Research and Development Department and tasked with following up on the implementation of the recommendations of the outcomes of conferences, seminars and workshops that will be held in government universities and government and private universities and colleges in coordination with the Popular Mobilization Authority/General Directorate of Education on Thursday, September 12, 2024, in Dr. Bahnam Abu Al-Souf Hall in the College of Archaeology building.
The Ministerial Committee was a dear guest at the University of Mosul and was received by the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Qusay Al-Ahmadi, who accompanied them on a tour of the university’s corridors. This visit was related to the implementation of the tasks assigned to it. The committee included the following members:
1- Prof. Dr. Lubna Khamis Mahdi / Director General of the Research and Development Department
2- Asst. Prof. Dr. Musa Jaafar Radi / Director of the Curriculum Development and Modernization Department / Research and Development Department
3- Dr. Hussein Haider Jassim / Director General of the General Directorate of Education / Popular Mobilization Authority
4- Prof. Dr. Yasmine Abdul Karim Muhammad Ali / Dean of the College of Archeology / University of Mosul
5- Prof. Dr. Salim Abdul Zahra Al-Jassani / Dean of the College of Jurisprudence / University of Kufa
6- Prof. Dr. Muhammad Jassim Abdul / Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Fallujah
7- Prof. Dr. Taha Hammad Mukhlef Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences / University of Mosul
8- Prof. Dr. Kazim Khalifa Hammadi / Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences / University of Iraqi
The meeting was attended by the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Munir Salem Taha. The ministerial committee also conducted a field tour of the old city of Mosul, its old neighborhoods and alleys, and some of its old buildings, including the Prophet George Mosque and the Church of the Immaculate Conception (old)
