The College of Archaeology discusses the principles of education in ancient Iraqi society

The Department of Civilization/College of Archaeology/University of Mosul discussed the master’s thesis entitled “Principles of Education in Ancient Iraqi Society” on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. Part of the viva was attended by the Assistant Dean of the College of Archaeology, Assistant Professor Dr. Yasser Jaber Khalil, and a number of faculty members at the college.
The thesis aimed to shed light on the principles of education in ancient Iraqi society due to its importance in studying the civilization of ancient Iraq, as it represents a fundamental aspect of the culture of society in Mesopotamia, its formation and educational preparation.
The thesis concluded that the principles of education have clear importance in raising and building the behavior and values ​​of individuals in society, and it also had a significant impact on developing aspects of their lives from a moral, educational and intellectual perspective.
The viva committee was headed by Professor Dr. Walid Saadi Muhammad from Al-Qadisiyah University/College of Archaeology, and the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Abdulaziz Elias Sultan and Assistant Professor Dr. Shaima Ali Ahmed, and the membership and supervision of Professor Dr. Hussein Zahir Hammoud.
