The College of Archaeology examines the thesis: Methods to develop archaeological tourism through designing a tourism program – the city of Hatra as a model

The doctoral thesis entitled (Methods to develop archaeological tourism through designing a tourism program – the city of Hatra as a model) was discussed by the student Wasal Faisal Hammadi, Department of Archaeology on Tuesday, February 25, 2025
The study seeks to shed light on the importance of the archaeological site of the city of Hatra from an archaeological and marketing perspective to secure a distinguished tourism environment through the philosophy of linking archaeology to marketing because it is part of tourism and because tourism services are part of it, so it is possible to integrate it with the concept of archaeological marketing. In addition to designing a tourism program that includes cultural, recreational and educational activities in the city of Hatra and securing infrastructure with a distinguished tourism quality that will contribute to attracting visitors and tourists of all types and destinations, in addition to enhancing cultural awareness to learn about the heritage of Mesopotamia and the site of the city of Al-Khidr in particular through advertising and promotional campaigns
