Arcades in the Heritage Buildings of Mosul in a Master’s Thesis

A master’s thesis entitled: “Arcades in the Heritage Buildings of Mosul: An Applied Study of Selected Models”
by student Qamar Musaddiq Younis Fattah from the Department of Archaeology was defended today, Sunday, June 1, 2025, in Dr. Bahnam Abu Al-Souf Hall. The thesis addressed selected applied models in the heritage city of Mosul, such as the arcades of religious and educational buildings such as mosques, churches, and schools, as well as the arcades of residential and service buildings such as houses and inns. The thesis also addressed arcade types and their environmental and structural treatments, in addition to building materials, highlighting the most prominent materials used to construct arcades.
