The College of Archaeology Implements Safety Standards in Accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals and the Green Metric Global Ranking
In light of the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the College of Archaeology, under the direct supervision of Professor Dr. Yasmin Abdul Karim Muhammad Ali, Dean of the College, seeks to enhance the data of the (S1) indicator in the Green Metric Global Ranking of Sustainable Universities, as part of the University of Mosul’s vision for excellence in academic and environmental sustainability. This initiative embodies the College of Archaeology’s commitment to achieving the third goal related to good health and well-being and the eleventh goal of the Sustainable Development Goals related to sustainable cities and communities, and emphasizes the compatibility of its academic environment with safety and prevention requirements.
The College of Archaeology has provided infrastructure for emergencies, safety, and disaster prevention by equipping buildings with emergency evacuation exits, providing firefighting equipment, and providing first aid kits distributed throughout the college.
