College of Archaeology Organizes a Cleanup Campaign for Tigris River in Mosul city

Under the supervision and support of the Dean of the College of Archaeology, Professor Yasmine Abdel Karim Mohamed Ali, the College of Archaeology’s volunteer team organized a cleanup campaign along the banks of the Tigris River and distributed numerous educational posters to preserve the river’s cleanliness. This campaign stems from the belief that the Tigris River is the legacy of our ancestors, who have provided us with life throughout the ages. It is a trust we entrust to our grandchildren, so that they may drink from its pure waters and enjoy its beauty.
Let us preserve its cleanliness and protect its waters from pollution, so that it remains a symbol of life and goodness for future generations.
The participation in this campaign represents a humanitarian and patriotic message that expresses the college’s commitment to its role in serving the community.
This contribution falls within the Sustainable Development Goals: Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being; Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation; and Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.
