Secondary Verbal Forms in the Akkadian Language in a Master’s Thesis

The master’s thesis entitled: (Secondary Verbal Forms in the Akkadian Language – A Morphological Study) by the student (Farah Imad Ezz El-Din) from the Department of Ancient Iraqi Languages ​​was defended today, Monday, August 25, 2025 in Dr. Bahnam Abu Al-Souf Hall.
The thesis addressed an important aspect of Akkadian grammar, represented by the study of secondary verbal forms in the Akkadian language. A morphological study of these forms had a significant impact and a prominent role in enriching the Akkadian language with additional verbal forms, resulting in linguistic meanings and connotations that were appropriate to the needs of society and the era in which these forms were codified. This earned the Akkadian language an important and prestigious position among the Semitic language family.
