The Temples of the God Nergal in Ancient Iraq in a Doctoral Thesis
The doctoral thesis of the student Omar Qasim Khalil, entitled “The Temples of the God Nergal in Ancient Iraq: A Study in Light of Archaeological Excavations and Published and Unpublished Cuneiform Texts,” was defended at the College of Archaeology/Department of Archaeology on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. The thesis was supervised by Professor Yasmine Abdel Karim Muhammad Ali as first supervisor and Assistant Professor Dr. Yasser Jaber Khalil as second supervisor.
This thesis fulfills the Sustainable Development Goals: Goal 4: Quality Education; Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities; and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
