College of Archaeology

As part of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s efforts to promote sound scientific publishing and develop researchers’ abilities to use global scientific research platforms, the College of Archaeology, under the supervision and follow-up of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Yasmin Abdul Karim Muhammad Ali, and in cooperation with the Electronic Computing Center at the University of Mosul, held a workshop entitled “Activating Researchers’ Accounts on the Scopus and Web of Science Platforms” today, Wednesday, November 5, 2025. The workshop was presented by Dr. Omar Ahmed Ibrahim, Director of the Electronic Computing Center, and covered how faculty members and postgraduate students can register on global scientific research platforms using their official university email addresses and the importance of the Scopus database in scientific research. The workshop also addressed the registration and activation mechanisms that enhance researchers’ presence on scientific research websites, in addition to providing an opportunity for discussion and answering researchers’ questions.
