College of Archaeology

Under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Yasmin Abdulkarim Mohammed Ali, and as part of the scientific activities of the College of Archaeology, College of Archaeology contributed to the “Bridge of Mercy” project by delivering awareness lectures to students of Batnaya High School through three volunteer teams from the academic departments (Archaeology, Ancient Iraqi Languages, and Preservation of Antiquities and Manuscripts). A competition was held among the volunteer teams, and the volunteer team from the Department of Ancient Iraqi Languages, led by Dr. Hanin Abdulghani Jassim, won. The team presented methods for teaching cuneiform writing on clay tablets and provided electronic visual aids on the importance of the cultural heritage of Mesopotamia. The winning team was honored by the Dean of the College on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
