Problems and Negative Aspects in Universities and Ways to Address them in an Awareness session.

Under the supervision and follow-up of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Yasmine Abdel Karim Muhammad Ali, the University Counseling and Psychology Division at the College of Archaeology held an awareness lecture on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, targeting undergraduate and graduate students at the college. The lecture was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Iman Hani Salem. The educational lecture addressed the topic of negative phenomena in university life and ways to address them, highlighting the most important misconducts that may impact academic achievement and university affiliation.
The psychological, social, and educational causes that lead to weak commitment and discipline among students were addressed, with a discussion of their effects on the individual and the academic community.
The lecture also emphasized the important role of psychological and educational counseling in preventing these phenomena and addressing them using scientific and educational methods.
It concluded with an emphasis on cooperation between the deanship, faculty, and students as the path to creating a positive university environment characterized by responsibility, belonging, and success. This lecture falls within the Sustainable Development Goals, Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.
