The venue of the viva was held inn Abi Tammam Hall at the College of Education for Human SciencesThe committee of the viva consisted of:Prof Dr. Zuhair Ziauddin Saeed, ChairmanAsst. Prof. Dr. Aba Dhar Rahi Saadoun as a memberProf. Dr. Hussein Youssef Hazem MemberAsst. Prof. Dr. Yasmine Abdel Karim Mohamed Ali, member and supervisorThe thesis dealt with the burials of the Makhoul region and their funerary contents, followed by a study of the various funerary contents such as jewelry and cylinder seals.In addition to that, other miscellaneous contents such as tools, machines, weapons, as well as children’s toysThe study aimed to shed light on the burials of the Makhoul area, with all its types and contents, as it is a new study that did not take the required space in research and analysis, and to show its importance.The study also provided the abundant information, including the religious beliefs of the inhabitants of this region, and the methods of burial that followed through the ages. In addition, the study showed the contents of the funerary in its tombs in order to reflect the political, social, economic and artistic conditions.
