M. A. thesis at the Department of French on teaching and learning the actual crisis of French
The Department of French at College of Arts held a viva for a Master of Arts thesis entitled “TEACHING AND LEARNING THE ACTUAL CRISIS OF FRENCH,” on September 30, 2021 in the Hall of College of Arts.The M. A. thesis submitted by the student (Raad Jasim Khalaf) in the Department of French, deals with the various aspects related to teaching and learning the actual crisis of the French language, the state of confusion on the learner between the mother language and the target language, language learning skills, and the active roles that help in the process of learning these tenses.The study touched on the difficulties and problems that the learner goes through while learning vocabularies and irregular verbs in French language, especially the errors related to the conjugation of the actual tenses, in addition to explaining the weaknesses and the places of errors committed by the students in the questions related to the tenses.This thesis aimed to find solutions and provide the necessary recommendations and suggestions that help the learner to overcome all the difficulties related to the actual times and to address the errors committed.The viva committee was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Elham Hassan Selo and the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Jinan Muhammad Wathiq from University of Baghdad and Assistant Professor Dr. Lamia Kazem Muften from Al-Mustansiriya University, and under the supervision and membership of Assistant Professor Dara Hassan Taha.
