M. A. thesis at the Department of Arabic Language on manifestation in the place of ad-dammar in ( Al- Hadiths of Riyadh Al-Salihin) by Imam Al-Nawawi (676 AH)

The Department of Arabic Language held a viva for a master’s thesis on “THE MANIFESTATION IN THE PLACE OF ADVERSITY IN THE HADITHS OF RIYADH AL-SALIHIN BY IMAM AL-NAWAWI (676 AH),” on November 29, 2021 at the College of Arts Hall. The thesis submitted by the student (Faten Salem Mahmoud) in the Department of Arabic Language, dealt with the issue of manifestation in the place of adverbs. The study relied on the book (Riyad Al-Salihin Min Kalam Al-Morsaleen) by Imam Al-Nawawi (d. 676 AH) in order to clarify the grammatical orientation and the semantic goal of determining the manifestation in the position of the atrophy. The importance of the subject is also highlighted by shedding light on the homeland in which the apparent name was placed in the place of the implicit in the honorable hadith of the Prophet to serve it.The study hypothesized that abandoning the inclusion of the expression by the noun by the appearance is a method that was distinguished by the noble Prophetic hadith in order to clarify the expression, specify the meaning and direct the connotation, due to the commitment of the Prophet (peace be upon him) to the legal mandate and his keenness to implement the idea in the entirety of the expression and to avoid ambiguity and brevity Which may confuse the reader or listener, so he will lose the meaning of the hadith. The study aims to present the aesthetics of displaying in the place of the pronouns in the hadiths of the Prophet that were mentioned in the Riyad Al-Salihin of Imam Al-Nawawi, and this phenomenon turned to grammarians such as Sibawayh (d. 180 AH) and Al-Farra (d. 207 AH).The viva committee was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Laila Muhammad Ali and the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Maan Abdel Qader Bashir from Al-Hadba University College and Assistant Professor Dr. Aisha Khader Ahmed from the College of Education for Girls at Mosul University, under the supervision and membership of the teacher Dr. Rehab Jassem Issa.
